The | The healslime is a recurring MFamilies in the DQSeries. Introduced in Dragon Quest II, it is a floating, tentacled Slime that can cast Heal on its allies.
==Characteristics== | ==Characteristics==
Healslimes are similar to jellyfish, having blue, oblong heads with yellow tentacles dangling underneath. Their eyes are often the same yellow color as their tentacles, though there are instances where their eyes are white. | Healslimes are similar to jellyfish, having blue, oblong heads with yellow tentacles dangling underneath. While stronger than normal | While stronger than normal slimes, healslimes are still mediocre combatants and make themselves most threatening when they heal other, more powerful MFamiliess before the player has a chance to subdue them. Because of this, defeating the healslimes in an enemy group first is often the best course of action if the player cannot defeat the other enemies before they can be healed. Many enemies such as the restless armour have the ability to summon a healslime in battle and it is the most often summoned MFamilies in all of the DQSeries.

Healslimes appeared from the beginning of the game. As always, the helpful slimes will cast Heal on their fellow monsters. Starting in Version 1.5, it gained a rarefied version in the form of Metal Healie. In Version 2.0, healslimes were one of the original ten monsters that could be tamed by Monster Masters.

The healslime is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest II, it is a floating, tentacled Slime that can cast Heal on its allies.
Characteristics
Healslimes are similar to jellyfish, having blue, oblong heads with yellow tentacles dangling underneath. Their eyes are often the same yellow color as their tentacles, though there are instances where their eyes are white.
While stronger than normal slimes, healslimes are still mediocre combatants and make themselves most threatening when they heal other, more powerful monsters before the player has a chance to subdue them. Because of this, defeating the healslimes in an enemy group first is often the best course of action if the player cannot defeat the other enemies before they can be healed. Many enemies such as the restless armour have the ability to summon a healslime in battle and it is the most often summoned monster in all of the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances
Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line
Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
Healslimes prove to be the first instance in the series where monsters can actually help the player in combat: Ragnar McRyan is assisted by a Healslime named Healie during his quest to save a group of missing children.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

Besides the Healslime battle encounters and the infamous monster, Healer, several NPC Healslimes provide business including:
- Running the Bingo game in the casinos at Pickham and Baccarat.
- Running an item shop in Princess Minnie's Castle. He mentions the other two Healslimes to be his brothers.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Dragon Quest X
Healslimes appeared from the beginning of the game. As always, the helpful slimes will cast Heal on their fellow monsters. Starting in Version 1.5, it gained a rarefied version in the form of Metal Healie. In Version 2.0, healslimes were one of the original ten monsters that could be tamed by Monster Masters.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
This monster does not have a vicious, nor a malicious variant.
