Smelling Salts is a skill that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest Tact. It is one of the Bobonga's signature abilities, delivering a restorative tonic to allies from its jar.

Smelling Salts can be learned by Bobonga at level 22 and costs 20 MP to use. It has a range of 1-2 squares away from the user and can be self-cast, restoring a small amount of HP and removing confusion to all allies in a plus sign-shaped area of effect.

Smelling salts, also known as ammonia inhalants, are a stimulant consisting of ammonium carbonate occasionally mixed with water and perfume used to restore consciousness to someone after fainting. They have been in use since Roman times.
