Slowing Slug is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.
It launches an attack that can reduce the enemy's speed.

Slowing Slug strikes a single enemy that can reduce the enemy's speed by 1⁄4 for 4 MP. It can be learned from:
- Boom Boxer (24 points)
- Diminisher (10 points)
- Graveheart (32 points)
- Guerrilla (11 points)
- Saboteur (38 points)
- Wind Blower (35 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit]
Slowing Slug can no longer be learned from Wind Blower and costs only 34 points in Saboteur.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Slowing Slug can be learned by Rhinoceraxe at level 42 and Bones of Baramos at level 1 and costs 30 MP to use. It inflicts 195% potency physical damage to a single enemy and has a chance to greatly reduce their AGL for 3 turns.
