Sage's Breath is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. When used, it will restore the user's MP each turn for a short amount of time.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest X[edit]

A Mage can learn the skill by investing 68 points into their Spellcraft skill tree. Sage's Breath costs no MP to use and will recover between 2% and 4% of the magician's max MP every three seconds for its duration, capping at 41% in total. The mage cannot move or be struck by the enemy when using the skill or else they will lose concentration and cease the recovery process.

  • In the Offline version of the game, Sage's Breath is automatically learned by the Hero as a Mage at level 34.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]

Sage's Breath can be learned by Veronica through the Vim panel in her character builder for 12 skill points and costs 0 MP to use. After it is used, it will restore 5% of her maximum MP each turn for 5 turns, reaching to a total of 25%.
