Canalot is a castle-town in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
It is built on water, located on a man-made island in the northwest corner of the map, and its inhabitants use gondolas to travel. One gondola is a weapon shop.

The party visits in Chapter 5, when Canalot's King, Larfur, is offering a reward to anyone who can make him laugh. The party briefly returns to Laissez Fayre to recruit Tom Foolery, then returns, with the intention of having Tom use one of his funniest jokes on the king. But to everyone's surprise, Tom instead delivers an impassioned speech about the fast-encroaching horrors of Hell and the need of the Hero to combat them. The king relents and gives up the Zenithian helm.
