In battle, he is a fierce combatant, being capable of unleashing devastating attacks with his powerful set of claws and breathing intense flames from his maw.

Gemon is a character and villain first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. His appearance is similar to a Dark gryphon, but he is much, much larger, has three straight horns protruding from his head. He has gone on to make regular appearances in spinoff games in the series, both as a boss and as a recruitable monster.

Characteristics[edit]

Gemon is a dark gryphon, a monster with the body of a lion and the wingspan and head of a great eagle. Like all denizens of the World of Darkness, his fur and plumage are various shades of black and grey and he is set apart from other dark gryphons with a set of three horns on his head and a pair of glowing white eyes. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

Gemon is Rhapthorne's right hand man and a boss that appears in the World of Darkness. Gemon threatened to murder Empyrea's unborn child if she did not co-operate with him, forcing her to attack the village of Dark Empycchu. He starts the battle accompanied by a dark condor and a dark turkey and will summon more of the feathered fiends if they are defeated before him.
