Gemon is a character and villain first introduced in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. His appearance is similar to a Dark gryphon, but he is much, much larger, has three straight horns protruding from his head. Gemon threatened to murder Empyrea's unborn child if she did not co-operate with him, forcing her to attack the village of Dark Empycchu. Gemon is a boss in the Cragvaration area. It can be found in a large nest (not its own) filled with giant eggs. Post-Game, Gemon is replaced by Empyrea, who can be found in the same spot. This is obviously a reference to Dragon Quest VIII, considering the relationship between the two monsters.
