Power Throw is a recurring ability in the franchise, designed for boomerangs. The damage output is reduced slightly, but damages all targets equally.

Appearances

Dragon Quest VIII

The hero can use Power Throw as a boomerang technique after investing 18 skill points into the associated skill. After investing 52 skill points, it is replaced by the much stronger Super Throw.

  • In the 3DS version, Morrie learns Power Throw after investing 18 skill points into Boomerangs, as well. It is upgraded into Super Throw after investing 66 skill points.

Dragon Quest IX

This ability is learned with 7 skill points invested into Boomerang skill and costs 4 MP to use.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Erik learns the skill for 13 points in his Boomerangs skill path. It takes 4 MP to use and hits all enemies equally for 120% damage.
