Gloopert is a slime who lives within the secluded village of Rosehill. Formerly an unnamed character, his role would be expanded considerably in The Dark Prince.

Gloopert keeps Rose company while she is locked away in Rosehill Tower, likely assigned by Psaro to ease the burden of loneliness when he makes the decision to secret the elf maiden away from to the nigh-impenetrable tower to keep her safe from the dangers of humanity. A gilded cage is still a cage, however, and Gloopert does his best to keep Rose happy during her imprisonment. He becomes very fond of the girl, as evidenced of his threatening to squish the Hero and Chosen Ones if they try to harm her. Gloopert is also a very trusting slime, as when the Hero assures him that the party has no ill intent, he informs the group of the mod rod hidden away in the Royal Crypt and that Diabolic Hall is the meeting place of the monsters.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]
Gloopert is revealed to be a long-time friend of Psaro, who lived with the half-human during his youth and tended to his ill mother Miriam. Gloopert's perspective on the events of the game, and the conflict between humans and monsters as a whole, would be elaborated upon in the Psaro and Rose digital picture book.
