Dragon Quest VI

Fissure is learned by advancing to Rank 5 of the Sage vocation. The skill is a free version of Thwack, utilizing the same resistance table. It is useful for players that prefer to conserve MP, but there is a 33% chance for the skill to fail regardless of its target's vulnerability, and cannot be used while at sea.

Dragon Quest VII

In the original PSX version, fissure can only be learned by reaching rank 4 of the Golem vocation, and it possesses the same aspects as in VI.

King Fissure

Dragon Quest VII
