Terrible Lightning, also known as Lightning Crash, is a recurring enemy-only skill in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IX. It is a more turbulent version of the normal Lightning that deals more damage.

Appearances

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

Dealing 28~43 damage, Terrible Lightning is utilized by Greygnarl, Cumulus vex, and Corvus. As with the other shocking abilities, it uses the Blast/Lightning element used by the Bang family of spells.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

Known as Frightening Lightning in this game, it is once again an enemy-only skill that can be used by 24-carrot bunicorns, Electric needlers, Old men of the sea, and Vicious old men of the sea.
