Gear Shift is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. It is a skill commonly associated with monsters of the Machine family, giving them a boost to Agility and mobility when used.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[edit]
Gear Shift is a passive skill known by Type G0 that increases its Agility by 50% at the start of even turns, its effect ending at the end of the action. It can stack with spells such as Acceleratle.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
Gear Shift is known by Überkilling machine, Gyldygga and Trauminator at level 1 and costs 24 MP to use. When used, it increases the user's AGL and Move for 3 turns.
