Ring of Ruin is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series. When used, it draws a magic circle on the ground that increases the party's chance of landing critical hits with spells.

Dragon Quest X[edit]
This ability can be learned by Armamentalists, Sages, and Druids by allocating 70 skill points into the Heavy Wands skill and Mages can learn it by allocating a minimum of 160 skill points. It costs 4 MP to use and increases the spell critical hit rate of any spellcasters that stand in the circle by 25%.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]
Ring of Ruin is a secret skill for both Veronica and Rab through the Heavy Wands skill in their character builders, requiring at least four of the surrounding panels to be unlocked first and costs 13 and 10 skill points respectively. It costs 6 MP to use and raises the spell critical hit rate of the entire party by 20%, with Zam-family spells being raised by 80%.
