Multifists is a recurring martial arts ability in the Dragon Quest series. When used, the practitioner throws four strikes at random targets for 50% damage per hit. Somewhat unwieldy for group encounters, the skill is marvelous against single targets.

Appearances

Dragon Quest VI

It is obtained by mastering the Martial Artist vocation.

Dragon Quest VII

Multifists is learned by advancing to rank 8 as a Gladiator and rank 3 as a Champion in the 3DS version. In the 3DS version, it is an advanced skill that can only be used as a Gladiator or Champion. It can also be learned permanently by advancing to rank 6 as an Automaton. It now hits for 75% of the attack per hit rather than 50% and needs 2 MP to use.

Dragon Quest VIII

Multifists is a fisticuffs technique that the Hero, Yangus, and Morrie can learn. It requires 70 skill points for the Hero, 60 skill points for Yangus, and 68 skill points for Morrie.

Dragon Quest IX

This ability is learned with 42 skill points invested into Fisticuffs skill.

Dragon Quest X

Multifists can be learned by investing 100 skill points into the Fisticuffs skill. It can also be learned by Healslime as a monster companion by investing 18 skill points into their Healie-Style Martial Arts skill.

Dragon Quest XI

Multifists appears as an enemy-only skill that can be used by Robber rabbit, King squid, Jockilles and their variants. It deals 40% damage per hit, while the version used by King squid and its variants deals 30% per hit.

Dragon Quest Monsters

In this game, QuadHits is an upgraded form of BiAttack. BiAttack will evolve into QuadHits when the monster reaches level 24 with at least 124 max HP, 112 attack, and 136 agility. It can be learned naturally by Jamirus, KingLeo, Orochi, Pizzaro, Roboster, Rosevine, and Skeletor.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2

Multifists can be learned from:

Dragon Quest Heroes

Multifists is one of Alena's main attacks and is already known by her when she joins the party, costing 6 MP to perform. When used, she unleashes a flurry of punches in front of her. It can be upgraded further with Multifists Multiplier, which costs 20 skill points to learn. By holding the button used to perform Multifists, Alena will land even more attacks.
