Drustan's labyrinth is the bonus dungeon of Dragon Quest XI, available in the third act of the game. The labyrinth was created by the warrior King Drustan before his death, with help from the Watchers, as a way to test the mettle of heroes before facing the scourge of Erdrea. In the King's own words, the labyrinth is also the storehouse for the world's mightiest weapons and armor, set aside in anticipation of the great evil's return. These include the armaments of the fabled Erdwin along with those of Drustan and Serenica.

Drustan's labyrinth is accessed from the ruins of Zwaardsrust region, to the northwest of the Warrior's rest inn Zoom point. The gate to the dungeon is sealed by a mysterious force through the bulk of the game and will only open during the third act after the player has witnessed the destruction of Erdwin's Lantern and spoken to the Elder of the Watchers. After that the dungeon is unlocked by recovering three Seedlings of Yggdrasil, which are found across Erdrea by using the Watchers' Guiding Light, and then speaking to the Timekeeper. The labyrinth is distinct from the older bonus dungeons in that it is a hub area that contains four smaller dungeons within, being The Path to Trial Isle as the first section which leads to Trial Isle itself. From there the party is greeted by the spirit of Drustan, who remained in the labyrinth to watch over it until the The Luminary's arrival instead of moving on into the afterlife.

Conquering Drustan's labyrinth entails traversing three dungeons: The Disciple's Trial, The Sage's Trial, & The Luminary's Trial. These three dungeons are sequential and must be completed in order, with the party being transported back to Trial Isle to recuperate after completing one. After completing one of the trials, Drustan presents the Luminary with a test--overcoming his own fear in the form of his vices made manifest. These erstwhile emotions are similar to earlier bonus bosses in that they must be defeated with a set number of turns to receive a prize, but the catch is that each ally's actions count as their own turn. Drustan will offer the party one of five wishes if the player defeats a boss within the allotted time, with the player being allowed to go through any of the trials multiple times to gain the final two wishes once all three have been completed.
