Sandstorm is an ability in the Dragon Quest series. It blinds enemies with dusty debris and reduces their accuracy to 5/8ths (62.5%).
Appearances
Dragon Quest VI
Sandstorm is learned at the first rank of the Thief vocation and targets all enemies.
- In the DS remake the skill's range was reduced to one enemy group.
Dragon Quest VII
Sandstorm is again learned at rank 1 of the Thief, but can also be acquired at rank 4 of the Mimic vocation.
- In the 3DS remake the skill's range was reduced to one enemy group.
Dragon Quest IX
Sandstorm is used by enemies such as power hammers.
Dragon Quest Monsters
This ability requires the monster to reach level 10 with 47 MP and 41 intelligence. It is naturally learned by the BigRoost, MetalDrak, MiniDrak and Trumpeter.

SandStorm now requires 70 intelligence to learn. It is naturally learned by the Brushead, Grakos and RushFish.
