Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
This ability is learned with 55 skill points allocated into the Ranger's Ruggedness skillset. Mist me covers every type of attack that can be blocked with a shield, and costs 5 MP to perform.
Dragon Quest X
Mist me is learned by placing 68 points into the Ruggedness skillset as before, only now the ability cancels out all damage from Breath attacks once and applies to all members of the party. This makes mist me a direct upgrade to the Backdraft skill of older games.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 & Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3
Mist me functions almost identically to the way it did in IX, only as there is no shield blocking feature in the game the skill cancels out nearly every kind of physical attack instead. It is learned via the Bolsterer, Barricade, Aquapothecary, Uber Healer skillsets.
