The Sword of Gaia (Gaia Sword) is a key item in Dragon Quest III. It is located near the corpse of Simon within the Shrine Jail. By throwing the sword into the volcano west of Baharata, it will open the path to the Gondo Cave. The sword can also be equipped as a normal weapon before being thrown in the volcano.
Another Sword of Gaia can be found the in Zenith Dungeon in the Super Famicom and GBC Version.
