Brightsplitter is a sword skill that appears in Dragon Quest XI. It is the light equivalent of Gigaslash, using the same element as the Bang family of spells.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age

The Luminary will learn Brightsplitter when speaking to the elder of Havens Above in the game's third act. It costs 16 MP to perform and deals up to 210~250 damage, but if the player has completed quest #60 then the MP cost will double and the base damage will be raised to 200~240. The new upper limit will be 400~440, and both versions required the Luminary to be equipped with the Sword of Light or one of its upgrades to use.
