Brightsplitter is a sword skill that first appeared in Dragon Quest XI. It is the Light-elemental equivalent of Gigaslash.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit]

The Luminary will learn Brightsplitter when speaking to the elder of Havens Above in the game's third act. It costs 16 MP to perform and deals up to 210~250 damage Light damage, using the Bang family of spells, but if the player has completed quest #60 then the MP cost will double and the base damage will be raised to 200~240. The new upper limit will be 400~440, and both versions required the Luminary to be equipped with the Sword of Light or one of its upgrades to use.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit]

Brightsplitter costs 15 MP and deals 20% more damage than a normal attack to all enemies. It is learned through the Bobby Dazzler, Cleric, Hair Splitter, Leading Light, Lightning Rod, Polariser, Sizz Virtuoso, Sovereign, and Stony Slasher talents.
