Eagle Grip is a recurring attack in the Dragon Quest series. It is an enemy-only attack in various games where the monster suddenly and violently grabs a character with their claws or talons, dealing 125% damage to a single character.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]
Eagle Grip makes its first appearance and can be used by Drag-goofs, Great dragons, and Black dragons.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit]
Eagle Grip can be used by Corpsickles, Deadly dodos, Gryphons, and Jamirus.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]
Eagle Grip can be used by Corpse corporals, Weighverns, Wide-load weighverns, and Warlord weighverns.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]
Eagle Grip can be used by various monsters, including Garudas, Hades' Condors, Dark condors, Gryphons, Dark gryphons, Empyrea, and Gemon. When used, the in-game text states that the monster "grabs hold of [character]!".
