Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]
The dreamstone is part of a sidequest involving the village of Norvik and the Super Secret Faerie Village. A man from Norvik fell in love with Aniseed, the daughter of the Queen of Faeries. However, their love was forbidden by the queen by Faerie law and, as a result, the daughter stole a ruby called the dreamstone and fled the hidden village. The queen, thinking that the villagers of Norvik had stolen the ruby, placed a sleeping spell on the village that immobilized the people for many years. Meanwhile, the daughter and her lover left a note and committed suicide in the Underground Lake.
When the Hero and party retrieve the dreamstone and presents Aniseed's letter to the queen, she gives group the wakey dust to life the curse she placed on Norvik.
