Frost Slash, also known as Glacier Slash, is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.

It imbues a melee strike with the power of ice.

Appearances

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Frost Slash costs 2 MP to use and strikes a single enemy with an attack using 110% of the user's normal attack, dealing damage based on the target's Crack resistance. It can be learned from:

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2

Frost Slash now deals a combination of Crack and ice breath-element damage. It can no longer be learned from Icemeister. It can now be learned from:

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3

Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below

Frost Slash can be learned by Aurora for 6 skill points and costs 7 MP to use. When used, Aurora slams her sword into the ground and creates a large pillar of ice crystals in front of her. Like all ice-based skills in the game, it has a chance to freeze foes.

  • Frost Slash can be upgraded with Frost Slash Strengthener, which costs 20 skill points to learn. By holding the button when Frost Slash is being performed, it will attack multiple times.

Dragon Quest Tact

Glacier Slash is known naturally by Crabid and Boreal serpent at level 1, can be learned by Slime knight at level 3, Funghoul at level 16, and costs 3 MP to use. It deals 120% Crack-type physical damage to one enemy. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll.
