Leg Sweep is an ability in the Dragon Quest series. It tries to trip an enemy. Naturally, the skill always fails against monsters in floating family.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VI
Leg Sweep is learned at the first rank of the Martial Artist vocation.
It is used by the enemies Garret, Dead resident, Undentured servant, Averill, Skullrider, and Terry (boss).
Dragon Quest VII
Leg Sweep is learned at the second rank of the Martial Artist vocation.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Jade learns the skill for 5 points in her Fisticuffs panel. It costs a single MP to use, and will attempt to knock over one enemy.
Dragon Quest Monsters
This ability can be learned by a variety of monsters. It requires the monster to reach level 6 with 32 HP, 31 strength, and 48 agility. It grows into BigTrip when the monster reaches level 12 with 66 HP, 63 strength, and 77 agility. It is naturally learned by the Goopi, Grizzly, MadCat, SkulRider, Slabbit, StagBug and WildApe.
Dragon Quest Monsters 2
The requirements to learn and upgrade Leg Sweep are unchanged. It is no longer naturally learned by the WildApe.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Hero's downward-tilt attack strongly resembles leg sweep, the main difference being that it damages the target as well as knocking them off balance. The Hero kicks forward while leaning after a six frame charge, dealing 7% damage with a range longer than his neutral attack. An opponent swept off their feet will be sent upwards and give players the start of a combo.
