Multiheal is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.

Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it restores a moderate amount of HP to the entire party. It is the weaker precursor to the Omniheal spell.

Appearances[edit]

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit]

Healus is learned by Priests and Sages at Level 34. It costs 18 MP to cast, and restores 75~95 HP. On the enemy side, it can be cast by Elysium birds, Phoenixes and Flying flayers.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]

Multiheal is learned by Kiryl at level 30, and is already known by the 9th Chosen One upon joining. It restores 75~95 HP in the original, and 100~120 in the remakes. Both versions cost 18 MP.

In the remakes, Foo Yung can use this spell to heal himself and Chow Mein.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride[edit]

Multiheal restores 100~120 HP in all versions for 18 MP. This entry in the franchise standardized the spell's restorative power.

Multiheal is learned by Healie at level 18 and by Curie at level 20. Other characters can learn it by advancing to rank 5 of the Sage vocation.

The enemies Mottle mendslime, High djinks, Dogmus, Brick, and Mortamor's right hand can use this spell to heal their allies.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit]

Multiheal now only costs 10 MP to cast. It can be learned by advancing to rank 5 as a Sage, rank 3 as a Champion, rank 8 as a Healslime, rank 3 as a Barbatos, and rank 2 as a Platinum king jewel.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, Multiheal is now an advanced spell and can also be learned by advancing to rank 4 as a Paladin or Hero. Champions now learn it at rank 6 instead. The spell can only be learned permanently by monster vocations.

It can be cast by the enemies Metal dragon slime, Religious nut, Freezing wingwyrm, Moosifer, Darkonium slime, and Trickstar.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit]

Multiheal is learned only by Angelo, at level 30. It restores 100~120 HP to all party members and costs 10 MP to use. Multiheal can also be cast by the Slime Therapy special team, which consists of Curer, Healer, and Metaly. The effect can also be replicated if the Eight uses a Cured cheese in battle.
