Gigaslash is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. It slices through a group of enemies with a blade made of ferocious lightning, dealing incredible damage in every appearance.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai
A prototype of Gigaslash appears in this series in the form of Zapple Strash, a maneuver where Dai enhances the power of his finishing move Avan Strash by first channeling the power of a Zapple spell into his sword. Later he combines it with Baran's similar "Gigabreak" technique (based on Kazap) to create his most powerful attack, Gigastrash.

Anyone in who is/has been a Super Hero (via Rank 7 of the Hero class) can use Gigaslash. In the 3DS remake, Gigaslash is now a class-exclusive ability, requiring the user to be a Hero in order to use it.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King
The hero can learn Gigaslash as a sword-only technique after fully investing 100 skill points into either the "Sword" or "Courage" skills. If both skill are at maximum, he obtains Gigagash instead. The electrified slice targets one enemy group for 20 MP, and damage is calculated as lvl+180 +/- [20+lvl] for a cap of 207~239.
Angelo cannot learn this skill; he obtains Lightning Storm after mastering his sword skill instead.

In Dragon Quest IX, the Gigaslash ability is obtained by allocating 88 skill points to Sword Skill, and can only be used by a character who currently has a sword-class weapon equipped. Its damage output has a base of 160 and a maximum of 360, reached when the sum of the character's magical might and strength reach 300.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
The Hero will learn gigaslash for 25 points in his Swordmastery skill tree. It costs 16 MP to use, targets all enemies, and deals up to 210~250 lightning damage.
Dragon Quest Monsters
This ability requires the monster to reach level 33 with 231 HP, 164 MP, 198 attack, 198 agility and 198 intelligence. It is naturally learned by the Esterk, LizardMan and MadKnight. It can also be learned by monsters with FireSlash, BoltSlash, VacuSlash, and IceSlash.

GigaSlash now requires 608 intelligence to learn. It is naturally learned by the AsuraZoma, BeastNite, FooHero, Octoraid, Roboster2 and WarMantis.

Gigaslash is described as "a legendary technique for cutting down a single enemy." It costs 16 MP to use and is learned from:
- Captain Crow (55 points)
- Cleric (45 points)
- Cluboon III (53 points)
- Diamagon III (70 points)
