Endor is a kingdom found in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
It is one of the few locations to use the same localization from the earlier NES script. The castle town is also the only location in the original NES game with a casino.
Endor is featured in Chapter 2 with Alena, Chapter 3 with Torneko Taloon and Chapter 5 with the Hero with the united chosen ones.
Appearances[edit]
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]
The Kingdom of Endor is composed of Endor, The Cistern Chapel, a teleportal shrine leading to Zamoksva, and the entrance of the Tunnel to Casabranca once Torneko's construction project is completed.
Endor first enters the game's plot in Chapter 2, wherein the king of Endor erroneously agrees that the prize of the kingdom tournament shall be his daughter, Veronica's hand in marriage. Alena originally entered the tournament just to test her prowess, but after lending the royal family a sympathetic ear she resolves to save the princess from an arranged marriage. The Tsarevna is able to win the tournament by defeating five opponents and by the absence of Psaro the Manslayer, the only other person to defeat five opponents.
In Chapter 3, Torneko is able to prevent a war between the king of Ballymoral and the king of Endor by discreetly relaying prince Regan's love letters to princess Veronica that warn of his father's disastrous ambitions. Because of his expert mediation, the king of Endor allows Torneko to set up a shop in Endor, and commissions the merchant for a set of Steel broadswords and Iron armours in exchange for 60,000 gold coins. Prior to the casino's reopening, Ragnar McRyan can be found looking for a lead on Hero in the area.
At the end of Chapter 4, sisters Maya & Meena Mahabala find refuge in Endor after fleeing from Havre Léon after being defeated by Marquis de Léon.
In Chapter 5, the Hero meets the sisters in Endor, where they join the Hero's party.
Colosseum tournament[edit]
The climax of Chapter 2 is the Endor tournament, a series of five fights where the tsarevna must battle her foe one on one. Alena soon arrived for her chance to take part in the tournament and was set to battle the only other participant to successfully defeat five foes in a row: Psaro the Manslayer. However, the man has taken his leave before he is called forth for the final round and Alena is declared the victor. The opponents Alena must face are:
Later on, the colosseum serves as the place for the wedding of Prince Regan & Princess Veronica.
Torneko's weapon shop[edit]
Torneko Taloon's life long goal is to own a store of his own and better provide for his family as a real merchant instead of being a mere part-timer in Lakanaba. Thanks to his clever manipulation of the economic differences between Ballymoral and Endor and a brief spelunking expedition in The Cistern Chapel to sell a priceless statue to an art collector, he's able to amass the funds to buy the shop from an old man who wants to move. Preventing war between the two aforementioned kingdoms put Torneko in good standing to officially open his own shop in the building. Torneko's wife, Tessie, runs the family shop in chapter 3: Tessie is as dab a hand at sweet-talking customers as her husband, and items left with her will be sold for 150~200% of their regular price. This sale has a 75% chance of happening whenever the party rests in either Endor's inn or at the shop itself in Chapter 3 prior to the casino reopening. After Chapter 3, Tessie converts the store into a Bank.

Remake Changes[edit]
- Though they aren't needed after fighting the Abominable Showman, the remake gives you the option to use Medicinal herbs after the battle.
- In the NES version, the number of Steel broadswords and Iron armour you have to supply to the king is 7 of each. In the remake it's 6 of each.
- Tessie's vault only consists of gold storage due to the unlimited space of the bag.
- If the game is reset after saving at Heaven's Haven, the party continues from the prior place of saving. The remakes instead have Endor as the default saving point in the game was turned off at Heaven's Haven.
- The Hero & company starts off here in Chapter 6.
- In the Cell phone ports (iOS, Mobile and Android), after Archie O'Logist is invited into Pioneer Town (despite being at the entrance already), he points the party to Princess Pam at Endor's Casino.
