Whealbrook is a small town in which you live at the early stages of Dragon Quest V along with your father, Pankraz, and a nice fellow named Sancho.
There is a small cave in the back called the Whealbrook Adit.
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
The Hero spent much of his childhood here in this village. After returning from travelling overseas with his father, the two return home. The Hero's childhood friend, Bianca Whitaker, is in town with her mother to pick up cold medicine for her father. Pankraz and his son escort the ladies back to their village of Roundbeck. Once Pankraz and son return to Whealbrook, the Hero discovers a mischievous faerie named Honey who was searching for someone to help with a crisis in Faerie Lea. She takes him to the land of faeries via a portal in the cellar of his house.
Later after the timeskip, the young adult Hero and Prince Harry arrive at Whealbrook to find it was razed by soldiers from Coburg, with only the church and part of the weapon shop remaining intact. During the epilogue, The Hero and his family discover the village was rebuilt.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
In the 3DS and Definitive Editions of the game, Whealbrook can be accessed via the Altar of the Heavenly Bride in the Echo Chamber. Everyone in the village is suffering from an extremely nasty cold. Sancho asks the Luminary and party to help, directing them to the Quester's Rest. In exchange for a bottle of Yggdrasil dew, Sellma will make some "Stone Cold Cold-Killer" after the Hero exits and then reenters the Quester's Rest. When the medicine is administered, everyone in the village makes a full recovery.
Additionally, Whealbrook must be visited as part of the Cannock Castle side quest. If the player speaks to Pankraz after first speaking to Kiefer and Alena, Pankraz will say that the Prince of Cannock was headed to the Neverglade.
It is unknown what point in Dragon Quest V the visit to Whealbrook takes place in, but it is likely during the young Hero's first adventure in Whealbrook Adit or to Faerie Lea, as Sancho says that he cannot find "Pankraz's son" anywhere. The latter may be supported by the fact that the Luminary and party cannot enter the cellar of Pankraz's house.
