Moonahan (ムーンペタ, Mūnpeta), also known as Hamlin in the original North American version, is a village in central Torland, just north of Moonbrooke. The town serves as a central location for several quests during the early portion of the game. Specifically, freeing the Princess of Moonbrooke, retrieving the Windbraker, and departing for Rippleport.

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line
Moonahan is the meeting point of the two princes and the Princess of Moonbrooke. After obtaining the Mirror of Ra, the princes can use it on a dog in the upper-east section of the town to break Hargon's curse and reveal that it is really the princess.
Moonahan is also home to the Water Sigil. It is hidden behind a Golden Key door and a Jailor's Key door. The heroes must then fight two grimlins and search the empty cell to find it. The location of this crest is hinted by a man in Beran.
