Vanish is an ability in the Dragon Quest series that alternates between being a spell and being a skill. Regardless, it renders the user less likely to be attacked in battle and is the opposite of Whistle.

Appearances
Dragon Quest III
Known as Fade in it's debut appearance, the spell makes the party invisible for 15 MP and lasts for 32 steps, making it very easy to sneak into certain castles.
Dragon Quest IX
This skill is learned with 32 skill points allocated into Ruggedness skill and costs 3 MP. When used in battle enemies will be less likely to target the character for 6~9 turns; On the field, it can be used to prevent monsters from noticing the party.
