Immigrant Town (Dragon Quest III)

An old man from Soo hopes to turn a field into a town. He requires help from the merchant aiding The Hero. The field will go through 5 stages (4 in the NES Version). During the development, the merchant starts to push the towns people hard, resulting in his/her arrest. The Super Famicom and Game Boy Color Version of the game ends with the merchant being released from jail, and rejoining The Hero. The development of the town is necessary in obtaining a Yellow Orb.

Pioneer Town

This town exists only in the remake of Dragon Quest IV and is located at the site of the Desert Bazaar. It's started up later in the game by Hank Hoffman Jr. who asks The Hero to look for people to invite to the area and help it grow into a town. This is accomplished by going through various parts of the story, and visiting the town for detail on where to go to find a person interested in coming to the town. After every possible invite is done, the town becomes a castle, with the objective of finding the body & heart of a Sultan and resulting in said Sultan returning to normal. The development of the town isn't necessary to the main story.
