Location(s)	The player must bring the Staff of Rain and the Sunstone to the Sanctum. The old man in the shrine will combine the items and give the player the Rainbow Drop, if he is shown Erdrick's Token.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past

The technicolor dollop makes its first appearance outside of the original trilogy in the Nintendo 3DS remake of the seventh game. It is a reward for defeating a Traveller's Tablet boss and will replicate the effect of the Lifeboat skill when used in battle. The Rainbow Drop can be used inexhaustibly and effectively frees the skill from being tied to the Pirate vocation.
