A Mini medal is an item hidden throughout many Dragon Quest games. They are often found in chests of drawers, treasure chests, and other searchable locations. Collected Mini medals can be exchanged for various prizes in the game in which they are found.

Mini medals only appear in the remakes of Dragon Quest III. They are collected by a man living in the well in Aliahan.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit]

In Dragon Quest IV, Mini medals are collected by a king who lives in Minikin's Dominion.

Medals Prize
1 Staff of divine wrath
4 Happy hat
6 Miracle sword
20 Liquid metal helm

In the Nintendo DS remake, the number of medals and prizes earned was changed to follow the system used in more recent Dragon Quest games:

Only found in the Japanese version of the game, they can be obtained by doing the daily quest, randomly by completing quests, and as event rewards. There are two reward lists, one that is permanent and another that changes every few months. In both cases, players can obtain rare materials and cosmetic equipment, such as the outfit of the hero of Dragon Quest Swords. One of the most important mini medal reward is the scroll that unlocks the Brave Knight vocation, a very powerful offensive vocation.

There are also dark medals and super dark medals, obtained by defeating Fiend-difficulty and Archfiend-difficuly foes. Both of these types of medal allows the players to obtain rare materials and exclusive cosmetic.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit]
